John Marfyak

An artist on loan from the New York Art Project, Marfyak was one of the museum's first art instructors. He taught classes in painting, drawing, and interior design. He also assisted with exhibition layouts and gallery repairs when needed. He arrived in Roswell in October 1938, and returned to New York in March 1939.
