The Roswell Museum Federal Art Center

Domingo Tejada

A highly skilled carpenter and artist, Domingo Tejada (1903-1993) designed the museum's furniture. Constructed from various hardwoods and whitewashed with calcimine, Tejada's work features extensive decorative carving and remains a salient part of the Roswell Museum's permanent collection. He also supervised the Capitan branch of the National Youth Administration, which also worked on the furniture.
