The Roswell Museum Federal Art Center

Mary Katherine Higgs

An archaeology student from the University of New Mexico, Higgs worked at the museum as a cataloguer during the summer of 1938 while helping to direct nearby excavations at nearby Bloom Mound, a significant Native American site. During her time at the museum, Higgs researched katsinas and compiled her notes into a manuscript available for public use.
